Amahl and the Night Visitors
Ars Viva is mounting a full production of Gian Carlo Menotti's opera Amahl and the Night Visitors this December 15, 16 & 17. This is a first for Ars Viva. This will be a fully-staged, professional production of this holiday classic first aired on NBC Television Theater in 1951. Our cast is spectacular: Richie Roesner as Amahl; Amanda Halgrimson as the Mother; Peter Van De Graaff, Kurt R. Hansen and Patrick Blackwell as the three Kings and Paul Radulescu as the Page. The orchestra, of course, will be the wonderful players from Ars Viva. Don't miss this premier performance of Amahl and the Night Visitors.
Ruggiero Ricci Lifetime Achievement Award
Ars Viva presented a Lifetime Achievement Award to legendary violinist Ruggiero Ricci at its October 22, 2006 concert. Maestro Ricci was present to receive the award.
